Last summer, we had the pleasure of spending a week with friends at the Curry House — one of the four rental homes of the recently restored Curry Place in Holderness, NH.
The home itself is warm and inviting with modern rustic decor and one-of-a-kind pieces of furniture; and with four bedrooms it comfortably fit four adults and three children.
But the best part of Curry Place is the location. First of all, we were able to pull our boat right up to the private dock which made getting on and off Squam Lake super easy! And if that wasn’t enough, Curry Place’s location in the heart of “downtown” Holderness meant that we could walk everywhere. In the morning, we walked to Squam Marketplace for delicious pastries and iced coffee or to grab gourmet sandwiches for a picnic lunch. In the evening we walked to Walter’s Basin for dinner or sometimes just a drink at the end of the night. And when we needed to replenish supplies, Golden Pond Country Store was also a short walk away.
Owners, Rob and Annie, Ryanne and team were just awesome hosts and we cannot thank them enough for their hospitality. We just booked time at Curry Place for next summer and can’t wait to get back out on the lake!
